Outreach
Outreach is action taken by the ASCLD Advocacy Committee to influence or produce systemic change to ensure fair treatment and social justice for forensic science and scientists. Advocacy responsibilities include, but are not limited to, Liaison Activities, Resource Assistance, Promotion of Laboratory Accreditation, and Legislative Outreach.
To better represent the membership and streamline the flow of information to and from the membership and the ASCLD Board, the Board of Directors has divided the country into nine regions, plus an International Diplomacy Council, for communication purposes.
Director David Barron is chair of the Advocacy Committee The following regional delegates have been assigned to the committee and serve as points of contact from their geographical locations.
John Neuner (ASCLD/LAB) is Chair of the International Diplomacy Council.
The outreach of this subcommittee within the Advocacy committee is to address international diplomacy and to represent ASCLD in all international affairs.
